Key Charitable Game Facts

The goal

Whether it’s Bingo, Tap ’N Play, or Break-Open Tickets, games at Charitable Game Centres are all about matching combinations of letters, numbers, or symbols as they are randomly generated.

Bingo Odds

Unlike lottery games, bingo odds change based on the number of cards sold. The more cards in play, the lower the odds of winning. Meaning, if you hold one of 100 cards in play, your odds are 1 in 100.

Progressive Jackpots

Some bingo and Tap ’N Play games offer a progressive jackpot, meaning the top prize amount grows until it’s won. When someone does win, the jackpot resets to the starting amount.

Session Program

Each evening’s agenda at the Centre is usually available on a paper handout, where you buy your cards. It shows the order of the games, the prizes, and the pattern required to win.

Prize Payout

If a TAP 'N PLAY game has an 88% payout rate, it doesn’t mean that if you bet $100 you’ll get $88 back. The rate applies to all play sessions across all players, not one player's odds of winning a single bet.

Etiquette

Games at Charitable Game Centres may feature some “dos and don’ts” or social norms that might be expected by regular players, besides the stricter rules of gameplay.
